That does sound like it could be some kind of glitch. Which is odd, because I looked for PTY to and from a bunch of places like LAX, BOG, EZE, MIA, for various dates across the rest of the year, and got tons of results. So who knows what's going on there.

I don't know how much the other airlines care about fraud vs these brokers and other scammers just creating huge imbalances in redemptions such that that they want to cut back on the number of seats Aeroplan is consuming. Airlines pay each other very little for FFP redemptions, and the hope for the most part is that they essentially net out. If Aeroplan is redeeming 5 or 10 seats on LH group metal for every one that M&M is redeeming on AC metal, they could easily want throttle that back or shut it down.

Married segments should be the same across all programs. If the UA site is showing YUL-ZRH-FCO as available but not YUL-ZRH, it will almost certainly be the same for Aeroplan.
