I am actually seeing some 57.5k awards again with AA metal, nearly all involve a partner metal flight in Europe. Last night I was looking for kicks to see what there was for last minute LAX-MAD availability and AA.com returned AA metal LAX-LHR (tonight) and then onward on IB to Madrid (tomorrow) for 575.5k. Searching alone, LAX-LHR was like 78k. I see some IB nonstops over the rest of the month LAX-MAD showing up too. Not bad if you have a last minute hankering for some August travel. LAX-LHR (AA)-BCN, LAX-PHX-LHR(AA)-BCN etc are all also popping up the next few days.

Edited to add: Looking at AS.com, some of the AA transatlantic availability is definitely "U" class because it shows up on AS.com too. Unicorn sightings...
