I was surprised by the change; I always assumed the later flight from LHR would catch more transfer passengers so the larger aircraft would make sense. That being said, I took the earlier flight from LHR to SFO a few weeks back and it was much nicer getting into SFO earlier, happy to see the A380 returning to this flight - I'm usually travelling WTP so those window seat storage bins are a huge plus.
