So you can't change from Bold to Ritz. But you can change from Bold to Bountiful or Boundless, then change again the next day to the Ritz. Dumb but thems the rules. I just upgraded my Boundless to a Ritz card less than two weeks ago, so pretty recent data point showing the Ritz is still available...
