I had no problem to include additional passenger as my companion recently. One leg was indeed with EN with all benefits (especially in FRA) provided. Although the online boarding pass did not included HNCO (I double checked it with dedicated hotline), it was visible on the printed boarding pass. And yes, most of the time I go to the curb and request one. While online pass did not allow to enter fast track, the printed one did.

I think the issue here is that HON can host ONE additional passenger (on the same or different reservation), and not the whole family.
