A quick follow up on my Confirmable Suite Upgrade on a points stay that I got yesterday.

I checked the reservation today to make sure nothing odd happened. Indeed, oddness has happened.

When I look at the reservation in the browser, it all looks good with 'payment' in points when I expand the payment details. Each day has points and the total is in points. However, when I do the same thing in the app. I see that the individual days are now priced at 237euro/ day. But, there are no taxes or fees added. And, the total is still in points. Very odd.

So, either an audit changed the rate, or the hotel changed the rate, or maybe this is the amount that IHG pays to the hotel for my upgrade. It will be interesting when I get charged $1000 for the free 'upgrade'.
