Many of the cheap deals are on long advance purchase. I would always look at Oslo as a starting point, but it’s very difficult to do much with JFK except maybe go via PHL or BOS. For a business trip I wouldn’t bother elaborating at all.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will start having a look. Definitely more keen on the travel on the EU side rather than US side so Oslo could be fun!

I've started looking for March next year (which is also around renewal) - I have some flex with timings so good to know I should flex the dates a little.
