Anyone had experience with CX flight cancelled and automatically rebooked into flights of bad/undesirable timing? This is award booking using AS miles.
This happened to our flights in Dec. Of course, no award availability is there for the flights (same day) that we want. Called CX and asked to open up award availability and rebooked, but given NO by two different agents. Haven't called AS yet but guess that AS couldn't do anything.
Any suggestions?
Yes, this is a common occurrence that has been reported here quite a few times, as has the procedure to correct it. As olouie mentioned, call AS and ask them to contact their CX liaison who can open up space for you on other flights the same day, or a nearby day if no flights available on your original day. It may take a couple of days to process. Assuming your flight has a significant schedule change they should be able to fix it for you. If it's less than a couple of hours YMMV.
