Just experienced this today, and dropped in on this forum to see if anyone else had seen same.
Looking at ZRH-BUD nonstop in early Jan., UA has economy on LX nonstop for 6k miles. AC, the only options are connecting itineraries on LO (with a much higher cash component as well, but that's a different issue).
I really doubt that LX is blocking this space to AC but not UA in order to cut down on fraud. Screams "IT glitch."
