Most typical flyers wouldn't describe the herringbone arrangement as "not private"... maybe just less private than something like Polaris or, more accurately, the half of the Polaris seats that are not right on the aisle. Anyone would think it's more private than UA's 752 Polaris offering. Lastly, most travelers aren't as hung up over the notion of privacy as many on FT are.
