For far ahead schedules, there is NO need for airlines to tinkle with discounted fares. People needing to book this far out usually have inflexible schedules.

If you think you are getting a good deal this far out, go for it. Personally for routes I fly, I don't even bother until 3 months or less*, usually even closer (to departures). There are a lot of competition (airlines) and people itching to book, so someone will blink first; not me

*only exception: mistake fares.
