A basic question, but one I cannot find the answer to. I'd like to find out what seats are available for allocation in J for tomorrow's BA285 & BA287. I don't have Expertflyer. A few years ago I could do a dummy booking in Fully Flex J and the booking flow would give me the option of reserving seats, and I would be able to see the seat map (and ascertain assigned aircraft type) there. However, I don't seem to be able to get to this screen now. So, is there a way to see the seatmap with available seats without buying a ticket first?

Aside -- it bugs me how easy this is on UA (there is literally a "Seat Map" drop down during the search process, even when not logged in, no dummy booking required) vs BA, where I have to post on a forum of experts to learn how to access this very basic feature...
