While I ended up spending 4 nights at Hyatt properties and skipping the Marriott CE, Marriott Opera, Westin Vendome, and Renaissance Vendome, I would like to provide my ranking of the 5 Marriott properties I tried this past week - as always, full reviews and photos are in the respective master threads:
- Prince de Galles - amazing Vice Presidential Suite upgrade, super comfortable bed, very friendly service, tasty breakfast
- Hotel de Berri - opinionated design, comfortable bed, great shower, tasty breakfast with very good and very bad service depending on the person, good front desk service
- Renaissance Arc de Triomphe - good bed, good breakfast, good shower
- Renaissance Republique - good bed, decent shower, good breakfast, poor initial room placement, sterile design
- Renaissance Nobel Tour Eiffel - older bed, kind of chaotic breakfast, half-glass shower bad at keeping water in
For those curious, I would rank the Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Hotel du Louvre, and Hyatt Regency Etoile (in that order) between Prince de Galles and Hotel de Berri - I was very impressed with Hyatt's showing in Paris - it's a shame for them that their footprint isn't replicated like this in other major cities.
