Never trust SCB, they can easily screw you up as it is such a screw up bank. I had enough when I was applying the CX SCB credit card and its subsequent bonus miles accrual. It did end up in my account, but it took me quite some effort. The same would never happen at Citibank and AE back then, so I suspect SCB offered CX the best deal.
If I were you, I would just call CX to go through the situation. 20 status point is not much and they might just upgrade you to DM straight away. Success rate in this situation pre-Covid would be quite high, but with the new CS desk in place, I would say half-half. Hang up the phone if you are connected with CS speaking Cantonese with accent, would be a complete waste of time
