While it looks like a fairly short subway ride, I'm not sure what the immigration line is like at FUK since there doesn't seem to be automated gates there like at KIX. Does anyone have experiences going through on a weekend? Should I expect to make it (so I'd book online in advance) or is it too tight to try to make (in which case I'd go for the 9:52PM Sakura to Hiroshima, stay the night and use one of my remaining Seishun 18 days to go the rest of the way home the next morning)?
I was just through the airport and both the international and domestic terminals are under constriction. You are on the last international arrival so there won't be too much of a line at immigration. I would consider taking a taxi directly to Hakata station from the international terminal instead of waiting for the inter-terminal bus to take you to the domestic terminal and the metro on the other side of the air field if you want to make the last Shin Osaka bound Shinkansen.
