The T2 at CAN is now a world-class airport due to its modern facilities, which appear to be inspired by Singapore Changi, and the limited passenger traffic. The CZ lounge at CAN is managed by Plaza Premium hence the great quality. The online meal ordering system for business class, I believe, only works for departures from Guangzhou. If this feature is still not available online, I'd recommend emailing China Southern's support team. Regarding their fleet, except for the absence of WiFi on the A350 and B777, it's on par with most major airlines in terms of hardware. For the CAN-SYD route, you'll likely be on either a 787-9 or an A350, both of which offer direct aisle access, free WiFi, and complimentary soup. The dreadful aspect of China Southern's business class is their narrow-body aircraft, which are equipped with rock-hard seats offering limited legroom, and lack both WiFi and an IFE system.
