This is a very clear contract violation. Airlines are quite happy to cite their tariff if you do something wrong. But there's a whole section on refused transport as well.
You bought a ticket, adhered to their terms, and they did not. I certainly don't think you'd need to take this all the way to court, but if you did, I suspect you'd win.

My BPs always show "KENNEDY SCOTTMR" if some system has added a title (which I always try to avoid, just like my middle name)
"KENNEDY SCOTTMRDR" seems quite plausible if I were a doctor and a selected that option.
