Maybe on the computer insides it’s AC handling the titles wrong, but it’s hard to distinguish that from a situation in which LH is presenting the titles incorrectly or inadequately to AC. And in any event, I think the point in the first paragraph still holds.
Have you tried to pursue compensation with LH, on the grounds they sold you a ticket that couldn’t be flown on? They clearly should not be selling those fares, at least until they fix their booking engine so there’s just one title or put in place better arrangements with their airline partners.
I agree. The contract was with LH, who should have transmitted the title properly and ensured the correct name was on the boarding pass.
I would definitely file a DOT complaint in addition to any other action you take.
