I didn't realize that FB resets XPs to 0 on anniversary so lost the 60 XP a week after getting them.

I applied for the card, was approved and received 60 XP on May 24th. I already had 5 XP in my account. I don't recall ever crediting a flight to FB but I must have last year to get the 5 XP. To my surprise, my FB account reset XP to 0 on June 1st. I then met the minimum spend and got the 40 XP. If I had known my account reset on June 1, I would have waited until June to apply for the card. I wanted to have the 100 XP for the status to be able to choose seats for free on award bookings. But now I only have 40 XP.

I contacted FB through chat and explained that I didn't know the account would reset and one of the reasons for applying for the card was the 100 XP and asked them to credit the 60 XP as of June 1 instead of May. Chat was no help at all (policy is...bla, bla, bla).

Any suggestions on getting FB to take pity on me and giving me back the 60 XP? Seems harsh to take bonus XP from someone 1 week after receiving them. My fault for not knowing it would reset but I don't think I've ever credited flights to FB other than the one time last year that I don't recall.
