If the bag tags at your first airport show your final US destination (which should be the case if the whole thing is one ticket), you don't have to get in line to recheck it, you just leave it at the belt and there's no wait. After dropping the bag you have to go through security.

If you arrive on Virgin and then fly Delta, and if your first flight is in Business class, then you can use both the Delta One lounge at the A gates and the Virgin lounge. They're both great.

I don’t have global entry unfortunately and, due to deploying very soon, I won’t have a cat in hells chance to organise it beforehand.
