Bumping this because I'm in a similar situation. Tried having AS customer service remove and re-add my AA number but it's still showing oneworld sapphire and not emerald in the booking. Is there a way to manually update it or am I stuck waiting for the system to update?
Removing and reapplying the FF# will have no effect.
Assuming the AA EXP in your profile is current, OW Emerald should be reflected on your itinerary. Did you recently change upward from OW Sapphire status? If so, the status
should auto-update within a week. If not, then I don't know of any immediate fix. You could try opening a case / IT ticket with AA and AS so they can look into it and hopefully use it as a datapoint for the overall issues pax are experiencing.
