I have a trip upcoming from TPE to LAX, with NRT-LAX booked on SQ. Was looking at options to get from TPE to NRT the same day. I have read that Scoot and Singapore won't tag a bag all the way through on different PNRs, but does anyone have any experience making the connection in NRT with the two airlines? From what I can tell, they both operate from T1, so it can't be too painful, right?

In addition, I am trying to avoid checking a bag if at all possible to avoid having to re-check it, but I also know that our carry-on bag from the US is slightly bigger than what Scoot says is the limit. Does Scoot enforce the bag size pretty seriously in TPE? And is that less enforced in ScootPlus?
