I’ve had two very tight connections recently, exacerbated by late arrivals on my first leg, and on at least one of them we had to be bused to the terminal. In both cases there was a ground agent waiting at the top of the escalator with a sign for my connection. The first time, connecting DOH-NBO, the ground agent waited until all four connecting passengers had disembarked our JFK-DOH flight and then whisked us all through security and through the terminal (including on the terminal train) to get to our connection. The second time I was connecting to AA’s DOH-JFK flight, and because I was the first off the bus from my NBO-DOH flight and the connecting flight was fairly close, the ground agent didn’t have me wait for the others but just directed me to security and to the gate.
