Loganair, well at smaller locations they don't bother because the gate agent is related to all the passengers, but their standard announcement at the gate is to show ID if you don't have checked luggage.
Loganair is hit and miss. They always ask if you have hold baggage- and most people on Loganair will do because they don't do HBO fares. They sometimes do even if you're HBO. It depends on the airport- they tend to ask more in the Isle of Man than they do in Liverpool or Manchester, oddly enough. Although in the Isle of Man it's the same staff at check-in and at the gate, and when I'm travelling with my locquacious five-year-old they normally remember us from check-in
