I have a quick question regarding compensation under APPR. We booked a ticket on UA ticket stock to fly YVR-ORD-PHL. YVR-ORD was so delayed that we would have missed our PHL connection. UA rebooked us on AC8712 YVR-DEN and on to PHL on UA. AC8712 was also delayed and we missed our connection to PHL. We will now arrive in PHL 6.5h late. United told us that we are supposed to file for compensation with AC even though the original issue was with UA and it is UA ticket stock. Is that correct and is it really AC that's to blame?
Just as a side-note: I would much rather file with AC because as SE's we are more likely to get compensation then with UA…
Which airline was the original YVR to ORD? That will be the airline that you would file against
