Have the AirFly Pro and it works perfectly fine with my AirPod Pro 2nd generation, as well as with the wife's AirPod Pro First Generation. Not sure why you're having trouble...?

There are 20% off coupon codes out there when buying directly from Twelve South...code "PACKHACKER20" seems to still work...
