I’m here now (August 17 for 2 nights) on an award. 3500 for first night, 5,000 for second. But cash rates were only about $100 a night, so not quite the bargain you might imagine. I’m only a whatever the second from the bottom status is called, so don’t think I got any upgrade other than the fact my 1 king bed room is on the back corner (but no extra windows… so not much value). I’m traveling by myself on this trip so for one person the room size is fine. The AC is a bit weak and is set for 24c you can only lower it by 2c (note that it takes a loooooooooooooooong time for the temperature to drop those 2 degrees… in fact I’m wondering if it will ever drop). Update: It only dropped 1.5 degrees overnight.

The room is pretty quiet… an advantage of being in the very back corner. Toiletries are annoying mounted on the wall type.

The location is ok I guess. Tram line 71 goes by the hotel and the S Bahn Rennweg station is about a 5 minute walk (you can catch S Bahn there to the main station).

the lobby is very austere and I think that is being kind. No illusion of luxury when you walk in the door… but still an OK hotel. Rooms nicer than lobby for sure.

I also received the free mini bar offer if I decline room cleaning… but no alcohol in my base room’s mini bar. Update: I do have a can of beer.

update: checked out today. If it’s summertime and you like a cold room, this hotel is not for you. I was OK, but just barely. Overall happy with my stay especially when factoring in price.

Nice enough room.

Good shower pressure
