easyJet used to check, during the Pandemic they got rid of it, and now still don't generally ask if HBO. They do for Irish Republic services. Ryanair always does. Loganair, well at smaller locations they don't bother because the gate agent is related to all the passengers, but their standard announcement at the gate is to show ID if you don't have checked luggage.
