When I was KLM Platinum the priority labels made no difference, when I was bmi gold the priority labels made no difference, same with BA.
I've heard with some airlines they make a difference but BA (and those other airlines that I've been frequent flyers of in the past) isn't one of them.
I've had the odd surprise when the priority tagged bags did come out first so it matters to some outstations but that's rare.
