I deliberately didn’t want to provide additional context, for two reasons:

- to avoid creating a comparison between the hypothetical people not wanting to sit next to the Jewish passenger and the group of four in this story. I don’t want them to be compared to (insert your “favorite” antisemitic group).

- I simply wanted the hypothetical scenario to focus on whether it is ever right for UA to ask the Jew to move because they are Jewish. I don’t think UA’s FAs should ever ask a Jew to move because someone else doesn’t want to sit next to them. That’s partaking in the discriminatory behavior, IMO. And the same is true for asking a woman to move because she is female. Polite or not, it’s wrong.

In that situation, I am sure the Jew wants to move just as badly as the non-Jew wants them moved.
Seems to me the female passenger didn’t want to move after told her neighbors didn’t want her there, even though it might have resulted in a more pleasant flight. Some people stand up for their rights and principles.
