The app will work as well. Make sure that you click the camera/scan passport option when doing OLCI even if your passport data is already pre-saved from your SkyMiles profile. Once you complete OLCI this way, your Delta SkyMiles profile will immediately update to show your passport “Verified by Delta” with a green check mark.
