The 777 should be relegated to cargo. It's not just the horrible noisiness and the higher cabin altitude pressure; its the lack of humidity in the air as well. Those 3 things collectively make the 777 the worst plane for long and ultra-long haul flying.
Thanks for that confirmation of my hatred of the 777s. My ears are still ringing 2 days after finishing the HND-LHR on NH in the 77W. In contrast, I’ve just enjoyed the 359 on LHR-HEL AY. Whisper quiet and seating in similar position (front, halfway between wing and flight deck). Those QF sunrise aircraft will be a joy - so long as they are not lightened by reducing the sound deadening insulation.
