Staying here now!
Booking
Booked 5 nights on a redemption stay at 17.5k / night which I thought was good value for HK.
Check-in
- No upgrades for titanium and, starting recently,
no breakfast.
- Front desk people were friendly!
- Lots of neon signs.
Room
- My mini queen room is not objectively small at 20 sqm / 215 sqft but it is poorly designed. The queen bed takes up more than half the room, meaning there is no space to sit at all. There are no stools or chairs or a table to work from.
- There is a bag of goodies with chips, M&Ms, and other snacks in the room as well as a fully stocked minibar with a can of coke, 2x sparking water, 2x still water, 2x beers, and an apple juice. These are not restocked daily.
- There's an Apple TV and Alexa speaker.

- The view is pretty decent from my room. The manager said it's not the best view, but it's pretty good, which is true.

- The AC is cold and a bit wacky. It's loud even at the lowest setting and alternates between cold and hot air (presumably when it hits the set temperature, it just recirculates air). I'm fine with the noise, but it does get loud at night.
- The room came with one power adapter and a free tote bag to take home. The slippers are quite comfortable.
Lounge
- To compensate for the lack of working space in the room, there is a lounge that has lots of space. There's also a nespresso machine, soft drinks, and tea there.
Location
- It's a 5 minute walk from the MTR station which is convenient but it's through either a car park or a narrow main street. There's also literally nothing to eat in the area except for a cafe and a 7-11 / CircleK at the station, so plan accordingly.
- It's a short walk to Ocean Park MTR station too and close to lots of hospitals (including Gleneagles).
- It's a very short ride to Admiralty which makes it super convenient to get around the island.
Summary
I would come back here because of the good value especially for Hong Kong, but I wish it had a table or at least a chair to sit on. I also wished there was breakfast and more things to eat in the area.
