I was trying to book an award ticket HKG-TPE-JFK-TPE-HKG on Eva Air from June 5, 2024 to June 27, 2024. Economy class cost 115000 miles and $90 tax. Everything was fine until I click the purchase button then I was being told there is a problem processing my request and this transaction could not be completed. I tried both their website and the apps. The same problem stays. No issue with my credit card or UA account. Any clue what is going on? Thanks.
Phantom award inventory? Meaning the award inventory does not exists. Inventory during search may be stale (it is not real time) and during purchase it is found not to exist. Unfortunately this can occur at times, especially with BR/EVA (at least in the past)
