One would think that the presence of the Auto-Connect SSID would imply that they are a participating hotel. An SSID wouldn't just appear without the hotel making it available.
Just seems to be a bit buggy... I'm only on n=1 for stays since this feature was added, and it didn't work great (as mentioned, frequent disconnects and slower than "public" SSID). Will try again at my next hotel.
