The Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden is a beautiful place, a unique experience (unlike anything in the UK for sure) that takes about 2 hours to see. On the grounds is a restaurant "Gertrudes" that does a nice lunch. You should prebook lunch on "opentable" as they can get busy. Depending on the weather, it could be nice to eat on their outside terrace.
