Hi all,
Just an update on my correspondence with British Airways about my missing Kosher meal.
They originally told me that both passengers on the booking would be getting 5000 avios each. But for one of the passengers the promised points never came through, so I contacted them stating that the compensation only came through on one account and I also asked if they could consider upping the compensation amount to 10,000 avios.
Here is their reply:

Dear Mr XXXXX

An update from British Airways

Thank you for coming back to us about the kosher meal you didn't receive on your flight.

Just as a reminder of our conversations, we agreed to send you 5,000 avios per person as a gesture of apology for the meal. One of the accounts failed to receive the avios, and we have now corrected this.

I do understand how strongly you feel about this, and so I’ve reviewed your concerns again with a manager. They agree we should offer you a further 5,000 avios each, which I hope will go some way towards making up for what happened.
I can assure you that we’re also focussing on what we can do to avoid this issue happening in the future. In this case, we’ve passed on your feedback to the relevant department.

Apologies once more for the absence of your special pre booked meal and thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We do appreciate that you have a choice of airline, and hope you’ll choose us again in the future. If there are any other issues I can help with, please use the blue link below to contact me.
