Upgrade cleared: wife was upgraded at t-2 but upgrade professor struck my reservation and it never ran for me. Saw my name as #1 with 4 open seats and went to gate agent as they started selling upgrades for $33.65 without clearing my upgrade. Agents seemed confused as to what was going on since my status showed but since the screen showed that I was “upgraded” into PC assumed that was it.
This sounds similar to the Res agent who wanted to charge me $50 to exercise a SDC. Glad you got it!

Around the T-24 threshold, the AS Flight Status pages for these flights did not accurately match the AS fare numbers (booking engine, EF) and would bounce between J>0 and J0. At some point, J0 but no sign of an upgrade (still on the WL, assigned to the same Main Cabin seat). Eventually, an upgrade email was sent and an upgrade was received. Odd indeed.
