Breakfast | IAH-EWR | Aug 2023 | Pre-Order Unavailable w/ Mainline Domestic Widebody
Hi,
I flew a flight from Houston (IAH) to Newark (EWR) this past weekend. It was a breakfast service on a widebody jet (76W w/ 30 Polaris seats). Here are a few details:
(1) Pre-Departure Beverage: Yes | Orange Juice, Mimosa or Water | I choose water
(2) Pre-Order: No | This was not available on a domestic widebody flight
(3) First Choice | Yes, the lead flight attendant came to GS and 1Ks first. I chose the waffle
(4) Choices Offered | 2 Total Choices: Waffle or Frittata
(5) Service Flow | (a) Drinks, (b) Full meal w/ fruit
Overall, the quality of the meal was fine with the croissant being slightly better than I remember it. The yogurt has been removed in comparison to similar flights earlier in the year. The crew was good and did a great job communicating some initial electrical issues that they were having in the galley. This was a mixed crew with LAX, EWR, and IAH bases represented.
