22 years abroad and hundreds of flights ….No question for me, 777s are noisier. Doesn’t matter which airline - QR,BA, SQ, EY, EK, AA, UA, VA, TG…it’s the only airframe guaranteed to give me a headache on legs over say 5 hours too - perhaps it’s a lower air pressure or drier air - I always pop some painkillers at the start of a long haul leg if I’m on one. A330/a340 aren’t much better noise wise. Weirdly, 747s never bothered me as much, which you might think they would given the older design…. Where I do hear the difference is in airframes made with newer composites and seem to offer a higher cabin air pressure (ie. a lower real life altitude equivalent). 380, 350, 787…always happier on them.
