LAX lost the PP restaurant long time ago. On top of that if you have airport lounge access, the PP benefit would be greatly diminished. We hate those monthly credit thing that makes you to do it like clipping a coupon. We tried Door Dash and disliked it. We dont use Uber Eat either. Hence for our household the CSP that offered 80K and 100K 2 years ago, was a no brainer for us to get back to Sapphire family.
We have no plan to upgrade back to CSR anytime soon, especially the travels for the rest of the year except the positioning flights, all of them would have lounge access as class of service benefit. We will review the situation in 2024 but then we have already had 2 years on CSPs and not missed any of the CSR "perks", I doubt we would return to it when other cards have TSA (due to renew in 2024) and there are PP benefits cards we could get that actually have better earning / transfer partners.
I'm with you on this. CSR is not of value over the CSP unless you have no other premium cards.
