They are the largest OTA (Online Travel Agency) in China and the world. In fact, the hotlines for Trip.com and Ctrip.com can transfer calls to each other. I always call the Trip.com English specialist and politely ask them to transfer my call to Ctrip, which helps me skip the queue during Ctrip's busy hours.
Got to say that ctrip's Chinese hotline, on the other hand, is not so pleasant to deal with...
