Had a great day-plus here recently. Early check-in and late check-out made it feel like more than a single night. Location and condition of the property are phenomenal. Staff all pleasant and helpful.
Did the Glob pm reception in the Club. Food and bev were both nice. Even stayed for a paid round after they opened it up to all guests. View unbelievable.
Unlike others, I found the Club breakfast well above average for a US chain. I believe it's catered by Water's Table, so you can tell the eggs and such were prepared in a proper kitchen and not just heated in the back-of-the-club area. Breads and pastries were made in a proper bakery as well, as far as we could tell. Coffee machine was above average.
Interesting thing was we had breakfast in the Club, as per above. Then we went out and did a long walk/hike, cleaned up and went down to Water's Table at 1:30p for brunch. Since we'd had breakfast in the Club (they ask for room number when you arrive), I considered brunch to be a paid meal. Instead, they removed that charge (brunch for two, plus two rounds of drinks) from the folio. I actually don't feel that's right, as we'd had a "comped" breakfast already and am going to reach out to the manager to see if I can pay our way for the brunch.
All in all, if you don't have a specific reason to stay downtown, this is THE property for the greater-Seattle vicinity.
