Long time lurker but new account holder and excited to be here!

I’ll be traveling M-Th for the foreseeable future and booked with amextravel (non-FHR) for the 5x points. I didn’t realize that I won’t get Hyatt points though for my stay, even though I’ll get tier nights towards status (confirmed by a Hyatt rep when they added my Hyatt number to my reservation.

Would anyone know if it’s better to book with AT for the 5x MR (and still get tier nights, without points) or to book directly with Hyatt for the points and qualifying nights? I’ve also been thinking about the Hyatt cc if it would help my cause.

I’ve been researching and trying to calculate which is better but having a hard time.
