If you get a good deal at D'Oreale, it is in a different league than even the IC.
I found that what I was seeing was something posted by one of the super discount hotel booking sites (as listed by google maps). Every reputable site was much higher, so I tend to believe that those are more realistic rates. But the D'Oreale is about half way between the City Lodge/Southern Sun and the Intercontinental/ The first two for a King or Twin Double room with breakfast are both around $120 - $130 (USD) per night, depending on the dates. The Intercontinental for a similar room, including breakfast is almost $400 per night. The D'Oreale is $242.

Actually something I might consider. We like staying for at least 1 night on or near the airport prior to our safari trips and usually at least one evening meal we will either take an Uber to Sandton (Sandton City or Nelson Mandela malls) or to the Emperor's Palace mall. If I include the Uber fares to/from Sandton (around $25 each way inclusive of tip) in with the hotel rates then the City Lodge/Southern Sun properties at the airport get close to the D'Oreale. The D'Oreale will be more expensive but about $70 a night more expensive.
