Just an observation that The Peak is really quite a long way from the fireworks - yes you can see them and (if the wind isn't in the wrong direction) hear them, but they would be over a km away and several hundred feet below you. In my opinion fireworks are much better experienced looking up at them from as close to underneath as you can get - which means on the waterfront in Kowloon.
Thanks for the tip. I hadn't realized that, as one of the tours had made Cafe Deco a destination for fireworks so I figured the Peak would be one of the prime spots. Any suggestions on restaurants/venues on the waterfront where we can watch the fireworks and have drinks at the same time?
