News from the past few days seems to point to a more optimistic direction for those of us who want to keep Asiana in Star Alliance. Asiana's passenger business seems up enough to get it a tiny net profit last quarter, KDB may be secretly looking for a plan B and it looks like they're less reluctant than a few months ago to sell of the cargo business to meet regulator demands.

I've already committed to renewing my status again so it would be a huge shame if these flights were wasted. At least I'll also hit OW Sapphire next month so I won't be status-less next year.
