Completing a 3 night stay at this property, cash rate, no upgrade due to hotel being full. Bell desk/doormen superb. Always offering cold water on the way out or in. (Lisbon is at 30 degrees Celsius +)
Checking in took a little time as the front desk agent could not locate my reservation. Welcome gift of port, sweets and a plate of dessert. The in-room mini bar all complimentary with the exception of the champagne and vodka. There is coconut water, water, juice, beer, soft drinks. Snacks include crisps, gummy bears, rice crackers, cookies. Replenished each day.
Bathroom toiletries are Acqua di Parma - Blu Mediterranean scent. Great rainfall shower pressure.
There is turn down service in the evening, and everything gets refreshed in your room. New towels if needed, etc. The hotel did reach out to me prior to my arrival and asked which scent/aromatherapy I would prefer for the evening housekeeping service.
The bar is very busy, with non-guests and guests of the hotel. Make reservations. The crudo menu is in the bar area - great atmosphere and very lively. The seafood and drinks are fine. Bar service is good.
The Italian menu is in the main dining area (same area where they serve breakfast). Food is fine, service is hit and miss.
Breakfast is absolutely horrible. Not one dish on the made to order menu was done well. The very small selection of the self serve buffet area equally not done well. Many people leave their plates barely eaten I saw. I would like to echo the previous poster’s comment about a hotel of this caliber and charging the amount per night , should not have such a poor breakfast service. Staff service, too, was not up to par. Completely chaotic and inattentive.
The location is perfect for walking around Lisbon.
I would stay elsewhere next time if needed to return to this city.
