Why you didn't take a private jet between HAM and BRE and get it reimbursed by EW?

Unfortunately I don't have a broker here in the EU, and so getting a private jet would have taken longer. Seeing as my trip cancellation/interruption insurance pays up to 10k$ to get me home, I did look into it.
I appreciate your opinion on the taxi, EU jurisprudence on ec261 duty of care has provided deference to the consumer. EW was flat out unwilling to provide carriage to my original destination. (Or immediate denied boarding compensation as required by law). If you have caselaw that contradicts this please feel free to cite.
