We aren’t safer in the sky because of this incident
Respectfully disagree with this statement.
During recurrent pilot training we review FOQA data from certain events and highlight trending fleet specific topics identified by Flight Operations within United.
Past examples: 737 Flap overspeeds on Visual RWY 29@EWR. Excessive 757/767 tire speeds @ DEN and LAS. I haven’t been on either of those fleets in years and I still remember seeing these addressed, this training is impactful.
To suggest we are no safer in the sky after this incident may not exactly be a correct statement. Just one pilot’s opinion.
